POSTERS AND OPEN EDITIONS of Behrens' editions are NOT featured on this website. Contact your local framer or poster distributor for these products. Prices for posters and open editions generally range from $15 to $50 unframed.
- Serigraphs on paper and canvas: generally produced in the 70's through the 90's. No longer available except on the secondary market.
- Canvas Lithographs/Canvas Transfers: this lower-end technology was used from 1998 to 2003 to produce high-quality, affordable Behrens' limited editions on canvas. All such products have, however, been discontinued and are only available on the secondary market. Most of these earlier works were embellished/enhanced by the publisher's studio artists - not Behrens.
Giclees on Paper: Giclees on paper were produced in very limited quantities until 2004. These products have been discontinued and are only available on the secondary market.
Serio-lithographs: This entry-level collector product was introduced in 2007. This is a mixed-media product on paper - consisting of a lithograph on paper over which a serigraph (silkscreen) layer is applied to achieve a textured look. Each print is personally signed and numbered by Behrens.
Giclees on Canvas: All of Behrens' limited editions on canvas are now produced using this state-of-the-art, hi-quality, hi-resolution process.
Texturized Giclees: This new, state-of-the-art product was launched in 2012. It is a proprietary technology called "Genesis" based on years of research in collaboration with senior scientists from the 3M corporation. Basically, an impression is made from an original oil and then that impression (with the palette knife texture) is superimposed on a high-resolution giclee on canvas. The resultant product is an exact replica of the original oil. The final piece is then heavily embellished, signed, and numbered. Poor-quality attempts have been made, especially in China, to duplicate this product, but nothing comes close to the "look and feel" of the proprietary product we produce.
Original Oils on canvas: This is the highest "form" of Behrens' art. Each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind original oil on canvas. Princes range from $5,000 to $80,000, depending on size and level of difficulty.
